Penny had a terrible night last night. Pain, nausea, discomfort.  We seem to have that all managed better now, but it doesn’t look like we will be leaving in time for a 1pm meeting at home.

We are waiting for the results of a CT scan that was done this morning, and we’re back to no eating at the moment. It’s unclear whether we might get home  at some point later today or not. That will depend on the results of the scan and how she’s feeling as the day goes along.

The good news is that we were able to get the pain and nausea back under control using tools that will be available to us at home.  And Penny had a good conversation with the palliative care team about strategies for managing (and, if possible, avoiding) these episodes.
