Yesterday we received the call from scheduling. The surgery to place a G-tube (or possibly a GJ-tube, if they are able) is scheduled for two weeks from today -- January 23. We were hoping it could be done sooner, but are glad to have it on the calendar.
This morning was radiation treatment 9 of 10. The cumulative effects are beginning to show themselves. Penny has had more fatigue and nausea the last couple days, and eating has been harder again. After hydration yesterday, Penny opted to use a wheel chair to get from her station to the exit, and she reached a new low weight again.
Not much else to report at the moment. But we were able to celebrate our anniversary over the weekend with dinner at a restaurant on Friday night, duck pin bowling with our GR kids on Saturday afternoon, and reflections on some of our "adventures" over the years.
Dinner Friday included some bonus desserts. We ordered dessert, and then they brought us one on the house because it was our anniversary. But they forgot to put it on the anniversary plate, so they brought us another one on the anniversary plate. Needless to say, we had to take some of the desserts home with us.
