It looks like everything is set for Penny to come home this afternoon. The scan looks good -- no signs of anything getting worse, and a few things that look better. She's going to get one more round of IV fluids as long as she's there, and should be home in time for supper. She'll stay on oral antibiotics for another week.
We're hoping that the antibiotics deal with the infection and that the infection was the major cause of all of the symptoms of the last month. If so, she should start to feel much better as the infection subsides. We'll be back at the clinic on Friday to check on progress and get some more fluids. Until then, rest and recovery at home.
