Good to be home, but...

We got home about 4pm on Friday, and it has been good for Penny to be in her own space.  But we are still dealing with pain and nausea that ebb and flow.  Friday night was pretty uncomfortable and not very restful, so yesterday afternoon we both crashed for a few hours. Then there was a brief period last night of "no pain, no nausea" that were remarkable, mainly for being so unusual the last 3 weeks.  Penny managed to enjoy a gourmet meal consisting of a boiled egg, a bit of cheese and some watermelon.

Last night was much more restful than the night before, but the achy-ness and nausea have returned this morning.  My job has been to encourage eating and drinking as often as she's able, but there's a good chance we'll go to the clinic tomorrow for some additional fluids to make sure she doesn't get too dehydrated.  That will also give us a chance to discuss symptom-management.

Next up: trying a little cream of wheat to see how that settles.

Andrea Turner: Wow! So tough. It speaks volumes that the two hour reprieve was a unique oasis in the last few weeks. Praying for bit of rest for both of you!

Jim Ludema: 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Alisa Tigchelaar: Thank you for the update, Randy. Praying now for more "no pain, no nausea" for dear Penny, and that she'll be able to eat her cream of wheat and stay hydrated today. 💕

Marie VanderLinde : Praying for comfort today and that cream of wheat sounds and tastes good.
