Today is another long clinic day, beginning and ending with a dose of the study drug and interspersed with blood draws and heart monitoring.
The timers are all launched and ready to beep at the appropriate moments throughout the day. Looks like we’ll be here until about 8pm, so not quite as long as last week (because we didn’t have the extra delay for fluids before the first dose this week).
Week 1 was mostly uneventful. A few small adjustments are going to be made this week to slow transit and improve absorption of the drug, but otherwise it’s steady as she goes.
Comments
Chriss Pruim: praying for another uneventful week!!
Alisa Tigchelaar: So glad to hear "uneventful" and "steady as she goes," Randy. Also that Penny's day will be a bit shorter this week. Continuing to pray that these new treatments will first stay and then reduce the cancer.
Mia Hunefeld: Uneventful sounds wonderful! Praying for another week if the same!!
Pamela Plantinga: Thanks for the update! I am thankful that the protocol needs only minor tweaks, and I hope that the long day has sweet naps and good books.
