Surgery was one month ago today. We celebrated with a trip to John Ball Park Zoo with Hannah and Andrew. Penny rode in a wheel chair, but enjoyed her first real outing.
Recovery continues to go pretty well. Getting enough calories each remains a challenge, but today was the first day since discontinuing IV nutrition last Friday that she didn’t lose weight, so that’s another step in the right direction.
Tomorrow we see the oncologist for the first time since surgery to discuss what comes next. We expect that to be a resumption of chemotherapy, or possibly an immunotherapy clinical trial. We’ll find out tomorrow if we are correct.
