Progress

The last 24 hours have been nausea-free, and Penny was able to eat at least a little at all three meals yesterday.  So that’s good progress.

But because she has eaten so little in the last 14 days, it was decided to do a couple days of IV nutrition. That began yesterday evening.

If she stays nausea-free and is able to eat better, the IV nutrition might just be a short bridge. There is also the possibility of continuing some IV nutrition at home, but for the first 48-hours, they need to monitor things closely (lots of blood tests to make sure they have the right mix of nutrition).

So that’s the plan for today: monitor the IV nutrition and continue to advance the diet.

Comments

Pamela Plantinga: I hope the IV nutrition is not needed for long but helps you feel better now. Praying for you!!

Mary Hulst: Yay for progress! Praying strength for both of you.

Dave and Liz Sherry: This sounds like some good news!! To be free of the nausea is a big blessing! Continuing to pray!!!
